Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of Taiwan Breast Cancer Society, it is my greatest pleasure and honor to extend to you the cordial welcome to 2021 Taipei International Breast Cancer Symposium (TIBCS 2021), which is held on Oct. 30-31 in a hybrid format - both virtually and physically at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2.
This year, the theme of TIBCS is “Right Treatment, Right Patient? 2021”. With the goal of providing precise treatment strategy for each patient, and the expectation of exchanging experience across disciplines and nations, we make extra efforts on organizing the conference. I am pleased to bring your attention to several highlights of the conference.
Various topics and world-renowned speakers
The symposium will cover various aspects on different subtypes of breast cancer from translation research to most updated state-of-art treatment. The agenda will also discuss some of the most recent topics of interests including oncoplastic surgery, APBI for early breast cancer and AI application in mammography. I am privileged to welcome prestigious experts in the field of breast cancer from the US, Austria, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Taiwan, and around the world to share their significant findings and clinical experience with us.
Joint Session with GBCC (Global Breast Cancer Conference)
To enhance exchanging the academic and practical experience internationally, Korean Breast Cancer Society and we initiate a joint session, which will be routinely held twice a year at TIBCS and GBCC respectively. The joint session entitled “issue about how to adapt the updated modern treatment for Asian patients” has been firstly incorporated in TIBCS 2021. We invite several Asian distinguished experts to have deeper discussion mainly focusing on the topics of Asian patients in hopes of bring more suitable perspectives applied to daily practice.
Advanced virtual booth and co-op with Medical News
Since last year, the TIBCS has accelerated by COVID-19 pandemic to a bigger scale. All the professionals around the world who are interested in breast cancer area could participate online. The advanced virtual booth this year would allow the participants not only have more interaction and receive the lecture information promptly, but also review the latest information shared by our sponsored vendors during and after the meeting.
Moreover, as most participants were impressed by our co-op with Medical News last year, we would like to keep this tremendous success. This year, we would still interview the speakers/moderators and have in-depth report on the selected topics. The newspaper will be issued at the conference to provide the participants a profound learning experience.
I believe that the wonderful lectures from outstanding speakers and the well-organized co-ops will make TIBCS 2021 a successful conference and give you a valuable learning experience. Look forward to your participation at TIBCS 2021.
